WSOP Update: Event #s 37, 38 and 39

June 26, 2012 Jordan Greene Poker World

The WSOP keeps on rolling along, with a slew of events still to go. Let’s get right to it.

Event #37, the $2,500 Eight Game Mix, was won by David Baker. No, not David “Bakes” Baker, but rather David “ODB” Baker (ODB being initials for the Original David Baker). ODB is considered long overdue to win this, his first bracelet. Ironically, David “Bakes” Baker won his second bracelet just a few days prior by wining Event #32.

Event #38, another $1,500 NLHE event, was won by Dung Nguyen. He defeated over 2,500 players to win the bracelet and over $600,000.

Event #39, the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha tournament, was won by Jan-Peter Jachtmann of Germany. Jachtmann faced a solid final table, which included Jason Mercier and Andrew Brown. Jachtmann took home over $650,000 for his win.
