WSOP Update: Event #s 40 and 41

June 27, 2012 Jordan Greene Poker World

More WSOP action!

Event #40, the $2,500 Six-Handed Limit Hold’em event, was won by Ronnie Bardah. Bardah’s win came after a comeback. He started the last day with the shortest stack, and immediately doubled up, before going on to win the event, over $180,000 and his first WSOP bracelet. Pro player Sorel Mizzi also made the final table.

Event #41, a $3,000 NLHE event, was won by Greg Ostrander. Ostrander faced Jackie Glazier heads-up in an impromptu fourth day of action, after a long day 3. The heads-up finale lasted approximately an hour. If she had won, Glazier would have been the second woman to win an event this year, and the first woman since Vanessa Selbst in 2008 to win a WSOP bracelet in an open event. This year’s Seniors Event was won by Allyn Jaffrey Shulman, a woman with two misspelled male first names.
